RESUMO

The rapid development of the Internet of Things (IoT) has brought many conveniences to our daily life. However, it has also introduced various security risks that need to be addressed. The proliferation of IoT botnets is one of these risks. Most of researchers have had some success in IoT botnet detection using artificial intelligence (AI). However, they have not considered the impact of dynamic network data streams on the models in real-world environments. Over time, existing detection models struggle to cope with evolving botnets. To address this challenge, we propose an incremental learning approach based on Gradient Boosting Decision Trees (GBDT), called GBDT-IL, for detecting botnet traffic in IoT environments. It improves the robustness of the framework by adapting to dynamic IoT data using incremental learning. Additionally, it incorporates an enhanced Fisher Score feature selection algorithm, which enables the model to achieve a high accuracy even with a smaller set of optimal features, thereby reducing the system resources required for model training. To evaluate the effectiveness of our approach, we conducted experiments on the BoT-IoT, N-BaIoT, MedBIoT, and MQTTSet datasets. We compared our method with similar feature selection algorithms and existing concept drift detection algorithms. The experimental results demonstrated that our method achieved an average accuracy of 99.81% using only 25 features, outperforming similar feature selection algorithms. Furthermore, our method achieved an average accuracy of 96.88% in the presence of different types of drifting data, which is 2.98% higher than the best available concept drift detection algorithms, while maintaining a low average false positive rate of 3.02%.

RESUMO

Recently, two-dimensional (2D) layered materials, such as graphene and transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs), have garnered a lot of attention in energy storage/conversion-related fields due to their novel physical and chemical properties. Constructing flat graphene and TMDCs nanosheets into 3D architectures can significantly increase their exposed surface area and prevent the restacking of adjacent 2D layers, thus dramatically promoting their applications in various energy-related fields. Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) is a low-cost, facile, and scalable method, which has been widely employed to produce high-quality graphene and TMDCs nanosheets with 3D architectures. During the CVD process, the morphologies and properties of the 3D architectures of such 2D materials can be designed by selecting substrates with different compositions, stacking geometries, and micro-structures. In this review, we focus on the recent advances in the CVD synthesis of graphene, TMDCs, and their hybrids with 3D architectures on different 3D-structured substrates, as well as their applications in the electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and various secondary batteries. In addition, the challenges and future prospects for the CVD synthesis and energy-related applications of these unique layered materials will also be discussed.

RESUMO

INTRODUCTION: Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue 1 (MALT1) modulates T helper cell differentiation, pro-inflammatory cytokine production, and epidermal hyperplasia to participate in the pathology of psoriasis. This study aimed to explore the correlation of blood MALT1 with treatment outcomes in psoriasis patients. METHODS: MALT1 was detected in peripheral blood mononuclear cells by reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction in 210 psoriasis patients before starting or converting to a new therapy, 50 disease controls, and 50 healthy controls. The psoriasis area severity index (PASI) score was evaluated at month (M)1, M3, and M6 in psoriasis patients. RESULTS: MALT1 was increased in psoriasis patients versus disease controls and healthy controls (both p < .001); and positively related to body mass index (p = .019) and PASI score (p < .001) in psoriasis patients. PASI75 rate at M1, M3, and M6 was 22.9%, 46.2%, and 71.0%, respectively; while PASI90 rate at M1, M3, and M6 was 3.8%, 29.0%, and 50.5%, respectively, in psoriasis patients. PASI75/90 rates at M1, M3, and M6 were increased in psoriasis patients receiving biologics versus those without (all p < .05). Pretreatment MALT1 was higher in psoriasis patients who achieved PASI75 (p = .001) and PASI90 (p < .001) at M6 compared to those who did not achieve that. Subgroup analyses discovered that pretreatment MALT1 had a stronger ability to predict PASI75 and 90 realizations in psoriasis patients receiving biologics (area under the curve [AUC]: 0.723 and 0.808) versus those without (AUC: 0.594 and 0.675). CONCLUSION: Blood MALT1 measurement may assist in predicting outcomes in psoriasis patients, especially in those receiving biologics.

RESUMO

As a primary proton pump, plasma membrane (PM) H+-ATPase plays critical roles in regulating plant growth, development, and stress responses. PM H+-ATPases have been well characterized in many plant species. However, no comprehensive study of PM H+-ATPase genes has been performed in Brassica napus (rapeseed). In this study, we identified 32 PM H+-ATPase genes (BnHAs) in the rapeseed genome, and they were distributed on 16 chromosomes. Phylogenetical and gene duplication analyses showed that the BnHA genes were classified into five subfamilies, and the segmental duplication mainly contributed to the expansion of the rapeseed PM H+-ATPase gene family. The conserved domain and subcellular analyses indicated that BnHAs encoded canonical PM H+-ATPase proteins with 14 highly conserved domains and localized on PM. Cis-acting regulatory element and expression pattern analyses indicated that the expression of BnHAs possessed tissue developmental stage specificity. The 25 upstream open reading frames with the canonical initiation codon ATG were predicted in the 5' untranslated regions of 11 BnHA genes and could be used as potential target sites for improving rapeseed traits. Protein interaction analysis showed that BnBRI1.c associated with BnHA2 and BnHA17, indicating that the conserved activity regulation mechanism of BnHAs may be present in rapeseed. BnHA9 overexpression in Arabidopsis enhanced the salt tolerance of the transgenic plants. Thus, our results lay a foundation for further research exploring the biological functions of PM H+-ATPases in rapeseed.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVES: To summarize and analyze the results of published randomized controlled trials of tofacitinib for the treatment of chronic plaque psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis(PsA) and discuss its efficacy and safety. PATIENTS AND METHODS: An exhaustive systematic search encompassing PubMed, Cochrane, Embase, and Web of Science databases was conducted up to July 2023. Studies eligible for inclusion were analyzed, organized using Review Manager version 5.4.1 (Cochrane Collaboration, Oxford, UK) and STATA 15.0 version (Stata Corp, College Station, TX, USA) software. RESULTS: A total of six articles, covering 1393 patients (844 treated with tofacitinib and 549 with placebo), were included. The foundational characteristics of tofacitinib and placebo group showed similarity, except for age and Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI) score, especially in the context of chronic plaque psoriasis. It is noteworthy that we discovered tofacitinib exhibited a significant impact on Psoriasis Area and Severity Index 75 (PASI75) response, Physician's Global Assessment (PGA) response, and adverse events (AEs) in cases of chronic plaque psoriasis. Similarly, tofacitinib demonstrated substantial influence on American College of Rheumatology 20/50 (ACR20/50) response, PASI75 response, as well as alterations in Functional Assessment of Chronic Illness Therapy-Fatigue (FACIT-F) Score, Health Assessment Questionnaire-Disability Index (HAQ-DI) Score, Dactylitis Severity Score (DSS), and Leeds Enthesitis Index (LEI) Score in the context of psoriatic arthritis (PsA). Nevertheless, there was no statistically significant impact of tofacitinib on serious adverse events (SAEs) in chronic plaque psoriasis, as well as on both adverse events (AEs) and SAEs in psoriatic arthritis (PsA). CONCLUSIONS: A comprehensive analysis revealed that tofacitinib has a positive effect on addressing skin and joint symptoms, as well as improving the quality of life for patients with chronic plaque psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis (PsA). However, the safety of the drug's long-term usage even requires further validation. Key Points • In 6 analyses involving a total of 1393 patients, tofacitinib exhibits positive effect on the treatment of both chronic plaque psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis (PsA). • Although dose-based subgroup analyses have demonstrated effectiveness. Some studies indicate that the 5-mg dose (twice daily) may not show an effect due to the failure of non-inferiority trials comparing tofacitinib with placebo. Therefore, caution is required when interpreting its effectiveness. On the other hand, the 10-mg dose (BID) has been associated with an increase in adverse events and serious adverse events, and is recommended to be used with caution in patients with cardiovascular or uveitis risk factors. • Tofacitinib has efficacy in comorbid psychiatric disorders (depression, anxiety, or Alzheimer's disease) and inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis), but patients with comorbid renal insufficiency, hepatic dysfunction, osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, or uveitis may need to be moderated or avoided with tofacitinib.

RESUMO

Background: Although tummy time is recommended as a form of physical activity for non-movable infants worldwide, little is known regarding the current status of tummy time practices among Chinese infants. Early childhood education (ECE) institutions provide children with rich learning experiences; however, tummy time practices among infants in these ECE institutions were unclear. This study aimed to investigate the status of tummy time among infants within the context of ECE institutions. Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional survey with primary caregivers of infants aged 0-11 months across 31 provinces of China from 1 March to 30 April 2023. To recruit participants, we collaborated with Gymboree Play & Music, an ECE institution with over 500 centres in nearly 200 cities in urban China. Our survey instrument was developed based on the World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines and literature to collect data on infants' tummy time practices, caregivers' tummy time knowledge and information sources. We used self-administered questionnaires through WeChat, in which participants scanned a quick response (QR) code to complete the questionnaire. Results: We included 1040 infants and their primary caregivers, with 504 infants aged 0-5 and 536 infants aged 6-11 months old. Less than half of infants (48.2%) started tummy time in the neonatal period, with 20.5% starting within two weeks after birth. Only 27.2% of infants engaged in at least 30 minutes of tummy time during the last 24 hours, with infants aged 0-5 months significantly lower than those aged 6-11 months (21.6 vs 32.5%, P < 0.0001). No significant difference was found between attending ECE class and non-attending ECE class groups for the proportion of infants with tummy time ≥30 minutes per day (28.9 vs 23.4%, P = 0.0625); however, infants aged 0-5 months in the attending group engaged in longer duration of tummy time than those in the non-attending group (P = 0.0005). The compliance with the tummy time guidelines in infants receiving long-nurturing care was significantly higher than those receiving short-nurturing care (30.4 vs 22.1%, P = 0.0036). Only 42.7% of caregivers knew that at least 30 minutes daily tummy time was necessary for infant, and more primary caregivers in the attending group knew that, compared to the non-attending group (45.3 vs 36.8%, P = 0.0098). Conclusions: The current status of infants' tummy time practices and caregivers' knowledge are generally suboptimal within the context of ECE institutions in urban China. Longer nurturing time contributes to higher compliance with tummy time guidelines. Effectively promoting tummy time practices through multiple channels in China is crucial.

RESUMO

Preparation of materials that possess highly strong and tough properties simultaneously is a great challenge. Thermosetting resins as a type of widely used polymeric materials without synergistic strength and toughness limit their applications in some special fields. In this report, an effective strategy to prepare thermosetting resins with synergistic strength and toughness, is presented. In this method, the soft and rigid microspheres with dynamic hemiaminal bonds are fabricated first, followed by hot-pressing to crosslink at the interfaces. Specifically, the rigid or soft microspheres are prepared via precipitation polymerization. After hot-pressing, the resulting rigid-soft blending materials exhibit superior strength and toughness, simultaneously. As compared with the precursor rigid or soft materials, the toughness of the rigid-soft blending films (RSBFs) is improved to 240% and 2100%, respectively, while the strength is comparable to the rigid precursor. As compared with the traditional crushing, blending, and hot-pressing of rigid or soft materials to get the nonuniform materials, the strength and toughness of the RSBFs are improved to 168% and 255%, respectively. This approach holds significant promise for the fabrication of polymer thermosets with a unique combination of strength and toughness.

RESUMO

CDK4/6 inhibitors (CDK4/6i) have improved survival of patients with estrogen receptor-positive (ER+) breast cancer. However, patients treated with CDK4/6i eventually develop drug resistance and progress. RB1 loss-of-function alterations confer resistance to CDK4/6i, but the optimal therapy for these patients is unclear. Through a genome-wide CRISPR screen, we identify protein arginine methyltransferase 5 (PRMT5) as a molecular vulnerability in ER+/RB1-knockout breast cancer cells. Inhibition of PRMT5 blocks the G1-to-S transition in the cell cycle independent of RB, leading to growth arrest in RB1-knockout cells. Proteomics analysis uncovers fused in sarcoma (FUS) as a downstream effector of PRMT5. Inhibition of PRMT5 results in dissociation of FUS from RNA polymerase II, leading to hyperphosphorylation of serine 2 in RNA polymerase II, intron retention, and subsequent downregulation of proteins involved in DNA synthesis. Furthermore, treatment with the PRMT5 inhibitor pemrametostat and a selective ER degrader fulvestrant synergistically inhibits growth of ER+/RB-deficient cell-derived and patient-derived xenografts. These findings highlight dual ER and PRMT5 blockade as a potential therapeutic strategy to overcome resistance to CDK4/6i in ER+/RB-deficient breast cancer.

RESUMO

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are recognized as emerging environmental pollutants due to their high persistence and toxicities to humans and animals. Understanding the temporal trend of PFAS in the environment is important for their pollution control and making appropriate policies. Many studies have reported the PFAS concentrations in Taihu Lake, the third largest lake in China, while their temporal trend during the years was seldom investigated. This study summarizes the PFAS concentrations in the water, sediment and organisms in Taihu Lake from 2009 to 2020 to depict their temporal trends. Meanwhile, the ecological model of AQUATOX was applied to evaluate and predict the potential risks of PFAS from 2012 to 2030. The results showed that the total PFAS concentrations varied but without distinct increase or decrease in both water and sediment during the years, while PFAS concentrations in organisms significantly decreased. The yearly mean concentrations of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) in the water were 21.7-25.4 ng/L and 9.7-26.5 ng/L respectively, lower than the Standards for Drinking Water Quality of China and the suggested water quality criteria to protect the aquatic organisms. In sediment, PFOA and PFOS concentrations were 0.16-0.69 ng/g and 0.15-0.82 ng/g respectively, much lower than the recommended sediment quality guideline values. Based on the AQUATOX prediction, there will be no major threats caused by PFAS to the growth of biota in Taihu Lake in the near future, while the biomass of some species (e.g. carp) will be affected under the perturbation of PFAS. Both field investigation and AQUATOX simulation showed that PFOS concentrations in invertebrates and fish descend steadily, while no remarkable decrease in PFOA concentrations was expected. This study suggests a decreasing ecological risk of PFAS in Taihu Lake, while highlights the necessity of continuous monitoring of PFAS contamination.

RESUMO

Near-infrared (NIR)-triggered shape memory hydrogels with promising mechanical strength hold immense potential in the field of biomedical applications and soft actuators. However, the optical and mechanical properties of currently reported hydrogels usually suffer from limited solubility and dispersion of commonly used photothermal additives in hydrogels, thus restricting their practical implementations. Here,, a set of NIR-responsive shape memory hydrogels synthesized by polyaddition of diisocyanate-terminated poly(ethylene glycol), imidazolidinyl urea (IU), and p-benzoquinone dioxime (BQDO) is reported. The introduction of IU, a hydrogen bond reinforcing factor, significantly enhances the mechanical properties of the hydrogels, allowing for their tunable ranges of the ultimate tensile strength (0.4-2.5 MPa), elongation at break (210-450%), and Young's modulus (190-850 kPa). The unique hydrogels exhibit an intrinsic photothermal effect because of the covalently incorporated photothermal moiety (BQDO), and the photothermal supramolecular hydrogel shows controllable shape memory capabilities characterized by rapid recovery speed and high recovery ratio (>90%). This design provides new possibilities for applying shape memory hydrogels in the field of soft actuators.

RESUMO

Background: Appropriate infant and young child feeding (IYCF) plays a crucial role in promoting the healthy growth of children. Currently, many Chinese urban parents are seeking care of children from the early childhood education (ECE) institutions, however, little is known about the feeding practices of infants and young children in ECE institutions. This study aims to investigate the complementary feeding practices for Chinese urban children aged 6-23 months in ECE institutions and explore potential factors influencing their feeding practices. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted among primary caregivers of children aged 6-23 months in ECE institutions across 31 provinces in China from 1 March to 30 April 2023. Convenience sampling was used to recruit caregivers from centres of Gymboree Play & Music (an ECE institution). Self-administered questionnaires were designed using the online survey tool Sojump and distributed through WeChat platform, which collected information on 1) children's complementary feeding practices; 2) food frequency of seven food groups; 3) caregivers' feeding knowledge and practices; 4) frequency of children attended ECE classes and the primary caregivers' daily nurturing care time; 5) source of information on complementary feeding. Results: A total of 2731 children and their caregivers were surveyed, with 416 children aged 6-11 months and 2315 children aged 12-23 months. The prevalence of minimum dietary diversity (MDD), minimum meal frequency (MMF), and minimum acceptable diet (MAD) was 59.4, 60.6, and 39.2%, respectively. Only 17.3% caregivers believed that continued breastfeeding should be at two years or above, and 29.5% children were continuously breastfed at 12-23 months (CBF). The proportion of non-responsive feeding practices among caregivers ranged from 28 to 64%. Except for CBF, the prevalence of other key complementary feeding practices was higher among children who attending ECE classes than those not attending ECE classes (all P < 0.05). Moreover, children aged 12-23 months who received long-nursing care time (≥4h/d) had significantly higher MMF and MAD prevalence than those in short-nursing care time group (MMF = 66.2 vs. 58.8%, P = 0.0003; MAD = 44.2 vs. 38.3%, P = 0.0047). Conclusions: The complementary feeding practices of children aged 6-23 months in ECE institutions in urban China remained suboptimal, and non-responsive feeding practices among caregivers were common. The attendance of ECE classes and the caregivers' daily nurturing care time could be beneficial in ensuring children to comply with complementary feeding recommendations.

RESUMO

A Gram-stain-negative, non-flagellated, aerobic, ovoid or rod-shaped bacterium with motility, designated B8T, was isolated from the sediment of Clam Island beach, Liaoning province, China. The optimum growth of strain B8T occurred at 35 oC, pH 7.0, and in the presence of 4.0-5.0% (w/v) NaCl. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences showed that strain B8T formed a distinct lineage within the genus Sphingomicrobium and was closely related to Sphingomicrobium nitratireducens O-35T (98.3% sequence similarity), Sphingomicrobium aestuariivivum KCTC 42286T (96.9%), and Sphingomicrobium astaxanthinifaciens JCM 18551T (96.5%). The digital DNA-DNA hybridization and average nucleotide identity values between strain B8T and closely related strains were lower than 21.0% and 78.0%, much lower than the cutoff values of 70.0% and 95.0%, respectively, for bacterial species delineation. The dominant respiratory quinone of strain B8T was ubiquinone-10. The major fatty acids were Sum In Feature 8 (C18:1ω7c and/or C18:1ω6c), Sum In Feature 3 (C16 : 1ω7c and/or C16 : 1ω6c), C17:1ω6c, C18:1 2-OH, and C16:0. The major polar lipids were diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine, sphingoglycolipid, glycolipids, and four unknown polar lipids. The DNA G + C content of strain B8T was 63.9%. Based on the phenotypic, phylogenetic, and chemotaxonomic analyses, strain B8T is considered a new species of Sphingomicrobium, for which the name Sphingomicrobium clamense sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is B8T (= CGMCC 1.19486T = KCTC 92052T).

RESUMO

Precursor method is a well-known technology for preparing certain functional materials. In this work, a novel 3d-4f bimetallic organic framework, denoted as 45MCeCo (45 M representing 4,5-imidazole dicarboxylic acid), was successfully synthesized via a hydrothermal technique. The compound thus obtained has the molecular formula of C10H11CeCoN4O12. By meticulously controlling the amounts of the experimental materials, it was feasible to prepare flower-like crystals possessing identical single crystal structures and significantly larger specific surface areas. As a precursor for electrode materials, this structure underwent calcination at different temperatures to prepare Co3O4/CeO2 composites with in situ composite heterostructures. Post-electrochemical tests revealed that CeO2 remains unreactive across all potentials, thereby contributing to the stabilization of the electrode material structure. In contrast, Co3O4 participated in redox reactions to provide a specific capacity to the sample. In addition, when comparing the performance of the electrode material under different calcination conditions, it became evident that the material exhibited optimal electrochemical performance when subjected to a temperature of 700 °C for 2 h.

RESUMO

In recent years, the world has been facing severe challenges from climate change and environmental issues, with carbon dioxide emissions being considered one of the main driving factors. Many studies have proven that activities in various industries and fields have a significant impact on carbon dioxide emissions. However, few studies have explored the impact of gender on carbon dioxide emissions. This study aims to explore the potential impact of gender diversity on carbon dioxide emissions in the boards of directors of developed and emerging market enterprises. In addition, we also analyzed how board cultural diversity affects carbon dioxide emissions. We searched two European indices provided by Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) from the Bloomberg database and conducted empirical analysis. We selected the MSCI index and MSCI emerging market index from 2010 to 2019 as samples and thoroughly cleaned up the data by removing any observations containing missing information on any variables. Statistical methods such as t-test, ordinary least squares, panel data analysis, regression analysis, and robustness testing were used for statistical analysis. At the same time, differential testing was conducted on sensitive and non-sensitive sectors, and the average representation of female boards in sensitive industries was low. The research results show that the proportion of female members on a company's board of directors is negatively correlated with carbon dioxide emissions. This discovery is consistent with the legitimacy theory advocating for gender equality and environmental sustainability, emphasizing the importance of gender diversity in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. However, agency theory suggests that diversity may lead to internal conflicts within a company, leading to agency costs and information asymmetry. The research results show a negative correlation between board cultural diversity and carbon dioxide emissions, indicating the potential challenge of board cultural diversity. This study provides important insights for decision-makers and managers, not only inspiring corporate social responsibility and environmental policy formulation, but also of great significance for academic research in the field of climate change. Our research findings help deepen our understanding of the factors that affect carbon dioxide emissions in different sectors and countries, while also expanding the research field between gender diversity, cultural diversity, and environmental sustainability. Although this study still needs to be further expanded and deepened, it provides useful insights into the relationship between board gender and cultural diversity and carbon dioxide emissions.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: NARS2 as a member of aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases was necessary to covalently join a specific tRNA to its cognate amino acid. Biallelic variants in NARS2 were reported with disorders such as Leigh syndrome, deafness, epilepsy, and severe myopathy. CASE PRESENTATION: Detailed clinical phenotypes were collected and the NARS2 variants were discovered by whole exome sequencing and verified by Sanger sequencing. Additionally, 3D protein structure visualization was performed by UCSF Chimera. The proband in our study had early-onset status epilepticus with abnormal EEG and MRI results. She also performed global developmental delay (GDD) and myocardial dysfunction. Next-generation sequencing (NGS) and Sanger sequencing revealed compound heterozygous missense variants [NM_024678.6:exon14: c.1352G > A(p.Arg451His); c.707T > C(p.Phe236Ser)] of the NARS2 gene. The proband develops refractory epilepsy with GDD and hyperlactatemia. Unfortunately, she finally died for status seizures two months later. CONCLUSION: We discovered two novel missense variants of NARS2 in a patient with early-onset status epilepticus and myocardial dysfunction. The NGS enables the patient to be clearly diagnosed as combined oxidative phosphorylation deficiency 24 (COXPD24, OMIM:616,239), and our findings expands the spectrum of gene variants in COXPD24.

BACKGROUND: Persistent trigeminal artery (PTA) is the most common vascular anastomosis between the carotid artery and vertebrobasilar systems. We report a very rare case of dissecting aneurysm in the right internal carotid artery (ICA) with ipsilateral PTA and discuss its clinical importance. CASE REPORT: A 38-year-old male presented to the emergency department with paroxysmal dysphasia for 6h. Brain magnetic resonance (MR) imaging showed acute cerebral infarction of the right corona radiata and right parietal lobe. Three-dimensional time-of-flight MR angiography (3D TOF MRA) revealed severe stenosis of the petrous segment (C1 portion) of the right internal carotid artery and a PTA originating from the right ICA cavernous segment (C4 portion), with a length of approximately 1.8cm and a diameter of approximately 0.2cm. The ICA segments are all named according to the Bouthilier classification. The basilar artery (BA) under union was well developed. The bilateral posterior communicating arteries were also present. One day later, the high-resolution vessel-wall MR demonstrated a dissecting aneurysm in the C1 portion of the right ICA. The length of the dissecting aneurysm is approximately 4.4cm, the diameter of the true lumen at the most severe stenosis is approximately 0.2cm, and the diameter of the false lumen is approximately 0.8cm. Subsequent digital subtraction angiography (DSA) confirmed a dissecting aneurysm in the C1 portion of the right ICA. The patient was treated conservatively and did not undergo interventional surgery. Four months later, head and neck MRA showed that the right ICA blood flow was smooth and that the dissecting aneurysm had disappeared. The Ethics Committee of Liaocheng People's Hospital approved the research protocol in compliance with the Helsinki Declaration. Written informed consent was obtained from the individual for the publication of any potentially identifiable images or data included in this article. CONCLUSION: Flow alteration with PTA may have influenced the formation of ICA dissection in this patient. Awareness of this is crucial in clinical practice because it can influence treatment options and intervention procedures.

RESUMO

Emerging 2D chromium-based dichalcogenides (CrXn (X = S, Se, Te; 0 < n ≤ 2)) have provoked enormous interests due to their abundant structures, intriguing electronic and magnetic properties, excellent environmental stability, and great application potentials in next generation electronics and spintronics devices. Achieving stoichiometry-controlled synthesis of 2D CrXn is of paramount significance for such envisioned investigations. Herein, we report the stoichiometry-controlled syntheses of 2D chromium selenide (CrxSey) materials (rhombohedral Cr2Se3 and monoclinic Cr3Se4) via a Cr-self-intercalation route by designing two typical chemical vapor deposition (CVD) strategies. We have also clarified the different growth mechanisms, distinct chemical compositions, and crystal structures of the two type materials. Intriguingly, we reveal that the ultrathin Cr2Se3 nanosheets exhibit a metallic feature, while the Cr3Se4 nanosheets present a transition from p-type semiconductor to metal upon increasing the flake thickness. Moreover, we have also uncovered the ferromagnetic properties of 2D Cr2Se3 and Cr3Se4 below ∼70 K and ∼270 K, respectively. Briefly, this research should promote the stoichiometric-ratio controllable syntheses of 2D magnetic materials, and the property explorations toward next generation spintronics and magneto-optoelectronics related applications.

RESUMO

Self-intercalation in two-dimensional (2D) materials is significant, as it offers a versatile approach to modify material properties, enabling the creation of interesting functional materials, which is essential in advancing applications across various fields. Here, we define ic-2D materials as covalently bonded compounds that result from the self-intercalation of a metal into layered 2D compounds. However, precisely growing ic-2D materials with controllable phases and self-intercalation concentrations to fully exploit the applications in the ic-2D family remains a great challenge. Herein, we demonstrated the controlled synthesis of self-intercalated H-phase and T-phase Ta1+xS2 via a temperature-driven chemical vapor deposition (CVD) approach with a viable intercalation concentration spanning from 10% to 58%. Atomic-resolution scanning transmission electron microscopy-annular dark field imaging demonstrated that the self-intercalated Ta atoms occupy the octahedral vacancies located at the van der Waals gap. The nonperiodic Ta atoms break the centrosymmetry structure and Fermi surface properties of intrinsic TaS2. Therefore, ic-2D T-phase Ta1+xS2 consistently exhibit a spontaneous nonlinear optical (NLO) effect regardless of the sample thickness and self-intercalation concentrations. Our results propose an approach to activate the NLO response of centrosymmetric 2D materials, achieving the modulation of a wide range of optoelectronic properties via nonperiodic self-intercalation in the ic-2D family.
